DIY: Chalkboard Signs; Floral + Rustic

I wanted to share one of my new obsessions. Chalkboard signs! During wedding planning over the last 6 months I’ve grown to LOVE chalkboard DIY’s. It started with my vision for my wedding. The theme is rustic but classy, outdoorsy and whimsicle. I made my first sign (the wood slab “bar” one) and it took me forever! I was so focused on making my handwriting perfect and I redid it a thousand times! Now I just free-hand it and go with the flow and I find they turn out better! After I finished the writing on the bar sign, I loved it.. but I felt like it needed just a little something more. I had these faux flowers laying around from another DIY and decided to hot glue them on. I LOVE how it turned out & it fits the theme of my wedding so well 🙂 So then it kind of snowballed from there and now I’m obsessed with making these cute signs. Which one is your favorite? Mine is the gold framed Welcome sign. ❤ Hope you enjoy! I linked some of the chalkboards and supplies I’ve used if you want to do it yourself.

  1. Everything looks wonderful! I’ve been full blown obsessed with everything chalk art lately. I also made a wedding chalkboard sign for my wedding too (pictures on my blog). As well, I wrote some tips on the easiest way to get your letters looking perfect.
