I wanted to share one of my new obsessions. Chalkboard signs! During wedding planning over the last 6 months I’ve grown to LOVE chalkboard DIY’s. It started with my vision for my wedding. The theme is rustic but classy, outdoorsy and whimsicle. I made my first sign (the wood slab “bar” one) and it took me forever! I was so focused on making my handwriting perfect and I redid it a thousand times! Now I just free-hand it and go with the flow and I find they turn out better! After I finished the writing on the bar sign, I loved it.. but I felt like it needed just a little something more. I had these faux flowers laying around from another DIY and decided to hot glue them on. I LOVE how it turned out & it fits the theme of my wedding so well 🙂 So then it kind of snowballed from there and now I’m obsessed with making these cute signs. Which one is your favorite? Mine is the gold framed Welcome sign. ❤ Hope you enjoy! I linked some of the chalkboards and supplies I’ve used if you want to do it yourself.
Supplies I’ve Used
Wood Slab Chalkboard (LOVE these)
Faux Flowers (I usually go to JoAnn Fabrics, Michaels, or Walmart)
Hot Glue Gun (newly obsessed with hot glue guns.. so cheap & so much you can do with one!)
Obsessed! The wedding is going to be so perfect when it all comes together! Can’t wait to have you write on my chalkboard!
