Happy Sunday!! I’m still battling with being exhausted from having pneumonia. I started medicine on Tuesday & finally feeling a bit better.. but still soooo tired.
So far today has consisted of a nap at 10:00am (hahahah, so me.), grocery shopping, watching Age of Adaline (one of my FAV movies) & now I’m curled up on the couch smelling this delicious banana bread bake.
Even if you aren’t gluten free, this is a delicious recipe you can swap out for regular white flour if you’d like 🙂
- 2 cups Bob’s Red Mill gluten free flour
- 4-5 very ripe bananas, mashed
- ½ cup sugar
- ½ cup butter, softened
- 2 eggs
- 2 tablespoons milk
- ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- 1 cup chocolate chips
- Preheat oven to 350. Lightly grease a 9×5 inch loaf pan, set aside.
- In a large bowl, combine flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt, set aside. In a separate bowl, cream together butter and sugar. Stir in eggs, milk, vanilla, and mashed bananas until well blended. Stir banana mixture and chocolate chips into flour mixture; stir just to moisten. Pour batter into prepared loaf pan.
- Bake in preheated oven for 50 to 55 minutes, until a toothpick inserted into center of the loaf comes out clean. Let bread cool in pan for at least minutes, then turn out onto a wire rack. Slice and serve warm with a little butter! YUM.
Seriously delicious you guys. Pretty sure the whole pan will be gone by tomorrow. You can’t even tell it’s gluten free!
Let me know if you try it out! 🙂
Ahhhh. Happy Sunday! Does anyone else wish there were more Sundays in the week? I’ve got my coffee, a candle burning, some Vance Joy playing (adore him) & my heart is happy.
Yesterday was the perfect date day with my husband & I just had to blog about it. We visited a small little city on the St. Croix river bordering Minnesota & Wisconsin called Stillwater. It’s one of my favorite places in MN. Its filled with tons of cute little boutiques, antique shops, bistros, & wineries. Best time to visit is in the fall. The colors are amazing! We were so lucky to have the perfect weather yesterday. 65 degrees and sunny on October 22nd in Minnesota is rare! Other years we’ve had a foot of snow on the ground.
We started out with a cinnamon mocha at the cutest cafe + studio + shop called Mara Mi. It’s my absolute favorite. It’s filled with the cutest wedding decor, scarves, stationary, italian soda’s and yummy coffee & pumpkin donut holes.
Totally obsessed with the aesthetic of this store. Everett was laughing at me because I was so happy just sippin’ my mocha and browsing all the cute stuff. After that we walked down to the river, watched the boats float by & people watched. I was amazed at how much diversity we saw! Many people speaking different languages. Stillwater is definitely becoming one of the biggest tourist spots in MN!
After that we got massages (amazing & so needed) & went to an italian cooking class! It was so fun! It was both of our first times going to a cooking class like this so we both didn’t really know what to expect. I definitely want to do it again! We are going to try to re-create the menu because it was so delicious!

Hope you guys enjoyed this type of post! What did your Saturday consist of?
Happy Sunday! Hope your day is filled with relaxation & coffee!
Fall style is my favorite by far! I feel more comfortable in sweaters & jeans rather than shorts and tank tops for summer. Something about fall is so cozy and calming and the fashion this year reflects that. Vests are a FAV of mine this year. I love how versatile they are. I can throw one on with a plain colored long sleeve, yoga pants & duck boots.. or really style it up with dark denim and booties. A definite fall staple!
Here are some of my favorite outfits featuring vests & denim. ENJOY!

Maroon Fur Vest: TJMaxx
Maroon Striped T: American Eagle

It’s TIME! My favorite season is upon us, and I’ve already been enjoying it SO much! I tag everyone! I love these type posts & especially all things fall!
Happy Fall Y’all!
1.) Bath and Body Works candles or Yankee candles?
Bath and Body Works! Fall candles are the best no matter where they are from.. but B&BW has some of my all time favs: Here are my top 3!
2.) Fav fall accessory?
- SWEATER WEATHER. OK stocking up on this and burning it year round. By far my favorite candle scent EVER. It’s so crisp & clean and makes the ENTIRE house smell good.
- Marshmallow Fireside. Yum. Smells like marshmallow-y outdoors.
- Flannel. My Fiance loves this one the most! It’s got a cologne smell, but not too over powering. Just the right amount of cuddly goodness.
These booties! Snatched them up for $27.99 at TJMaxx & been wearing them constantly since the weather has gotten cooler. I LOVE booties for fall.
3.) Uggs or Moccasins?
I’ve never owned either.. but probably the slipper type moccasins.
4.) Fuzzy socks or knee socks?
5.) North Face or Columbia?
6.) Favorite Fall food?
Soooo many. Comfort food wise I love stuffing and mashed potatoes.. for sweets I love apple crisp & pumpkin pie!
7.) Red or Pink lips?
Pink/nude. I never have worn red lips before!
8.) Winged eyeliner or bold eyeshadow?
Bold eyeshadow. Darker browns & maroons are fun in the fall!
9.) Apple pie or brownies?
Apple CRISP. With vanilla ice cream ❤
10.) Would you rather cook the food or eat it?
I’m not a good cook.. so I’m going with eat it. However, in the fall I do get the itch now and then to make semi-homemade goodies 🙂
Today marks 30 days until I’m a married woman! Honestly seems like just yesterday we got engaged… Where does time go? I wanted to share some of my favorite gift ideas, DIY’s and wedding prep tips. Hope you enjoy!
- Gift Ideas: Personalization!
I love personalized gifts. Here are some I have so far:
Etsy has been my bestfriend through wedding planning. From bridesmaid jewelry to seating chart templates, they seriously have it all. I’ve found so many easy-to-use templates that make having gorgeous hand outs and unique seating charts simple! Most come in different size PDF’s that you populate with your information and there you have it! I plan to share my final printouts when they are complete 🙂

- Organize & Keep up on RSVP’s!
You can’t have too many lists. I have multiple lists of the same items and trust me.. I need them all! There are so many helpful checklist books out there. Use them! They have helped me keep on track & plus it’s fun to check off as you go 🙂
Don’t be afraid to bug your guests about returning their RSVP’s! You will want to know an exact number in attendance for multiple reasons. The way I’ve kept track is printing a list of all the invitees, and putting the number attending next to the name.. As they come in the mail I keep it updated.. then you don’t fall behind and end up scrambling last minute for a final number!
Anyone else planning a wedding? What are your tips? It’s been a fun process, but I’m at the point where I’m ready for the planning to be over, and to just be married ❤
Fall is happening any day ya’ll! I’m probably more excited for fall this year then I’ve ever been because I can DECORATE my own space this year ❤
My sister and I were looking for fall decor and saw these adorable fall wreaths everywhere. I thought they would be so adorable on my front door but they averaged $40-$50 a piece, which is outrageous. So we were looking around more and I thought “It would be so easy to make this ourselves..”
So here we have a super adorable DIY Fall Wreath for about $15.00! Score!
Here is what you will need: Everything bought at Michaels Craft Store, but any craft store should have similar stuff.
- Grapevine Wreath $4.99
- Any flowers you like- make sure you look for coupons, there is ALWAYS 40% off coupons for Michaels on the Coupon Sherpa app!
- Hot Glue Gun- Optional- we ended up just weaving the stems into the wreath but if you want extra security you could glue some of them in.
- Wire cutter
Simply arrange the flowers how you like and there you have it! We decided to do only about 3/4 of the wreath in flowers because I liked the look of the sticks, but you can totally cover the whole thing in flowers for a more dramatic look.
I love how they turned out and we are definitely going to make one for Christmas too.
Another Sunday.. Wow where does time go?! Every week seems to fly by. As they say “The days are long, but the years are short.” It’s bittersweet. I enjoy my life so much It’s sad to look back and realize how fast time goes. Try to cherish every moment! Saturday morning I took Christmas card photos for my sister Jamie and her husband & she snapped a few of Everett and I. They turned out so good, I have to share. I am so blessed to have him. ❤This weekend was also our final family get-together before my little nephew is born. How crazy is that?! I can’t believe in just a week or so we will have a baby as part of the family. Babies are my weakness. I can’t wait to snuggle him, smell him, and be his aunt. I’m so excited that I’m going to share some pictures of his nursery. My sister did such an amazing job with it, I just have to share.Isn’t it perfect?! They are such a beautiful couple… I just can’t wait to meet him. Beware: lots of baby related blog posts in my future! 😉 Saturday afternoon we celebrated Thanksgiving early, since baby is due right around actual Thanksgiving. It was a blast! My family is seriously the best. We ate amazing food, and did our annual gingerbread house contest! Everett and I won! YAY! It’s such a fun tradition. If you’ve never made a gingerbread house, you should! They have kits sold at Target, Walmart, Walgreens, pretty much wherever Christmas decor is sold. 🙂 Wine & enjoying Christmas decor.. Nothin’ better! As for today, It’s a typical relaxing Sunday, my fav! We went on a long walk around the pond by my house to enjoy the beautiful weather we’re having. It’s 62 degrees today! Mid-November and 62 degrees is basically unheard of in Minnesota. You HAVE to take advantage it, because any day we could get hit with negative temps, that’s just how MN works. I snapped this pretty tree on our walk 🙂I also want to give a shout out to Kelly over at I Could Sleep In That for the amazing and thoughtful giveaway she did on her blog in October. I received the package on Friday and LOVE everything in it. The blush is an amazing berry warm color for fall, and the revlon lip crayon is a beautiful burgundy color for fall as well. I’ve worn them everyday this weekend! Not to mention Hocus Pocus, always a classic! Thanks again, Kelly you are so sweet! Go give this girl a follow! 🙂
Thanks for reading, and as always, wishing you a great week ahead!
TGIF! For some reason this week seemed endless. Maybe it’s because I’ve been feeling like total crap lately.. 😦 NO FUN. But It’s going to be a fun weekend, and I’m excited to share come Sunday! This week I decided to participate in Amanda Bella’s “What I Wore This Week Challenge” #WIWTWABChallenge! I’m not going to lie my style needs work. I gravitate towards easy, and comfortable pieces and usually rotate my favorites every week. It was fun to put a bit more thought into what I wear knowing I had to snap a selfie! p.s. don’t mind my work badge in every picture, the bathrooms have good mirrors 😉
