Snapshot Sunday!

snapshotsunday

My sister The Grady Bunch Blog & I decided to start up a Sunday tag called Snapshot Sunday! Sunday’s are all about reflection on the weekend and getting your ducks in a row for the upcoming week. It is definitely one of my favorite days of the week! So we collaborated and created this cute logo to go along with the series. Feel free to grab the image and join in on Snapshot Sunday! Can’t wait to hear about everyone’s weekends & what you are looking forward to this week! 🙂

This weekend was another good one for me! Friday Everett and I got back from our mini-vaca and were LAZY. We hung around the house, did laundry, and did a quick Target run because I forgot my pillow at the hotel.. oops.. luckily it wasn’t my favorite pillow and I was just waiting for a good excuse to buy a new down pillow, so there you have it, a great excuse for a new pillow!

Saturday, we slept in and then went to Chick-Fil-A for lunch with my dad and sisters. My dad had never been to Chick-Fil-A (I know, crazy) so we decided it would be a good idea to finally introduce him to the delicious-ness. After that my sisters and I bought ingredients for baking festive cupcakes for Halloween. They turned out AMAZING & so easy.. I’m savoring my last 2 in the fridge. We used: One box of spice cake mix, half a can of pumpkin puree, and cream cheese frosting topped with a candy corn pumpkin. SOOO YUMMY & so moist! If you’re looking for something delicious and easy, this is it! The rest of Halloween evening we watched a few movies, and caught up blogging!image1 (5)image2 (3)

Sunday has been productive, and relaxing all in one! The best combo, right? Everett and I toured an apartment complex this morning and it went really well! The place is gorgeous and everything I wanted in an apartment. We’re so excited at the thought of getting our own place together. But with that excitement comes the nerves! We still have yet to decide if this is the one between our finances and timing, but I have a good feeling. Lots more to come regarding that! Can’t wait to blog about home decor! ALSO, I’m wearing my ADORABLE and oh so cozy blanket scarf. Definitely my new favorite item in my wardrobe. Check out my sister’s post at The Grady Bunch Blog for details!

As for the rest of the day, I plan on RELAXING and catching up on laundry. I must admit, I’m not looking forward to going back into work tomorrow. I haven’t been in the office since Wednesday, so it might be a little rough.. Just gotta stay positive! Wishing you all a great Sunday, and hope you’ll join in on Snapshot Sunday!

Mid-Week Getaway.

Both my boyfriend Everett and I had vacation time to waste before the end of the year so we thought hey lets take an extra long weekend and go on a small getaway! We LOVE exploring new places even if they are only an hour south of our hometowns. This time we took on Red Wing, MN. A little historic old town right on the Mississippi River. The drive down was beautiful with winding roads and hills. The weather did not cooperate with us the whole trip, which was a bummer. Cold and rainy non-stop. I’m not gonna lie, it put a bit of a damper on my mood. When you have a list of things to do and half of them get crossed off because of the weather, it’s hard not to feel a bit let down. Needless to say we had to improvise a bit. We did a lot of relaxing, coffee drinking at this adorable two level Caribou Coffee right on the train tracks (my fav), and chatting about life. It really is the little things in a relationship that keep it going and happy. We don’t need much to be happy together, and that’s one of my favorite things about our relationship. It was really great to get away from everyday life for a few days together, and now we are home relaxed and refreshed (he is currently sleeping next to me hehe) And we have the whole weekend still! I’m looking forward to some Halloween activities and goodies this weekend! Enjoy the few pictures I snapped & Happy Friday!

A Beautiful Weekend + Kip Moore.

What a fun weekend! Wow, the weekends just seem to fly by. This weekend was one i’ve been looking forward to for MONTHS now. My sister Jamie, (The Grady Bunch Blog ) my mom, and I made another road trip to see our absolute favorite artist, Mr. Kip Moore (if you haven’t heard of him shame on you, and go check him out NOW.) We’ve now been to 5 shows in the last year, and just can’t get enough. Not only is this guy’s music absolutely amazing, but he is the most genuine, sincere, caring, and hardworking guy. Truly something special. With other artists, I’ve never been able to listen to the album straight through, there’s usually only one or two songs that I like, but with both of his albums there honestly isn’t one bad song. Here are a few of my favorites. Check them out!

Magic: Kip Moore

Hearts Desire: Kip Moore

We also stopped at this HUGE candy store on the way down that had the cutest fall items. I’m such a sucker for all things fall related. I could have wandered this store all day but it was SO packed in there. So we just grabbed our delicious taffy and headed out.

What a great weekend. Sunday’s are always bittersweet.. BUT good news is, i’m taking a few days of work this week to go on a much needed getaway with my sweet boyfriend. I absolutely can’t wait. Time together is scarce nowadays and it’ll be just what we need to relax and reconnect. I’ll definitely be blogging about our trip so be on the lookout for that! Wishing you all a great Monday!

Fall Obsessions.

Ahhhhh.. Fall! This fall has been one for the books. I can’t believe its already October 18th! Fall time is much too short in Minnesota, and it flys by because its my favorite time of year. So much to do! Seems like every weekend lately we’ve been up to something fall related. Pumpkin patches, apple orchards, baking goodies, and of course fall SHOPPING! I found this fun fall tag & thought it would be fun to share! What are your favorite things about fall?

1. Favorite Fall lip product? I’ve never been a huge lip product person, or just makeup in general, but I absolutely can’t live without my cherry carmex!
2. Favorite Fall Nail Polish? I am terrible at painting my own nails, therefore I get them done every two weeks & leave it to the professionals. I’ve been gravitating towards maroons, dark purples and greys.
3. Favorite Starbucks Fall Drink? Hands down, salted caramel mocha. To die for.
4. Favorite Fall Candle?
Bath and Body Works Marshmallow Fireside. Ahhhh so good!
5. Favorite Fall Scarf or accessory? I love big bulky sweater scarves.
6. Haunted house, haunted hay ride, or haunted corn maze?
 Hay ride!
7. Favorite Halloween movie? Hocus Pocus. However, I love watching fall decor shows lately.
8. Favorite candy to eat on Halloween? Reeses! YUM
9. What are you dressing up as for Halloween?!
I’ve never been a huge halloween person to be honest. I more enjoy other fall activities. So this year I’m not dressing up. We plan on laying low, baking some goodies, maybe do a few fun crafts/DIY’s and popping in a movie! Perfect to me!
10. What is your Favorite thing about Fall? EVERYTHING! The scents, the beautiful leaves, the cool air, the fashion. All of it.
